My new Favorite Blog/Gluten Free Resource!

Since finding out I was gluten intolerant a little over a year ago, I’ve scoured the blogging world looking for a few good (and easy) recipes! It’s been a battle, to say the least, to eat gluten free. Most gluten free products are rice, potato and other starches and I’ve found those too make me sick. Several months ago I came across The Spunky Coconut…the most fantastic gluten free blog! Kelly is an inspiration. She uses mostly coconut flour (and other nuts)…I am a HUGE coconut fan. I love the taste texture, and that it helps my thyroid. I love that coconut flour is easy to use and has great flavor!

Zero Waste?

I saw this video bouncing around the blogosphere a couple weeks ago and wanted to share it. I found it particularly interesting:

zero waste

(I can’t get the video to upload into the post, but here is the link)

DIY hair remedies!

I had this article pop-up on my yahoo homepage this morning, 4 Do-It-Yourself Hair Remedies. I’ve heard one or two of these before but with slight variations. Found it interesting, I think I’m going to try number two: add volume (with avocado and egg) sounds fun and messy!

Shutterfly Christmas Cards!

Have you checked out Shutterfly’s selection of Christmas Cards? I’ve used Shutterfly many times in the past and have been very pleased with the quality and selection of their products!

It’s the time of year we all love to show off our cute kids with some great holiday cards. I’ve been browsing around the Shutterfly site planning out our Christmas cards for this year. Shutterfly has quite the selection of Christmas Photo cards, in fact over 800 cards to choose from! How can one select the perfect card? Well, Shutterfly has some great tools for narrowing down the perfect card; you can select the number of photos, color, size and more with their “refine your choices” tools box down the left side of their site! I narrowed my “favorites” to  117 but of those 117 Christmas photo cards I simply LOVE the “Family Wall in Red“.

I love the display of multiple photos and the elegance but story the card can tell with so many candid photos! My second favorite card would have to be the Holly Jolly Christmas Card in Green. Again I love the multiple photos and the simple elegance but I am a HUGE fan of Green colors.

We’re a little slow on getting our”professional” family photos taken this year so I am more than happy with  the fact that Shutterfly can make my ordinary candid photos, from a point-and-shoot, look professional! I am getting ready to make  our photos right now, yes we’re slow this year!

Shutterfly also has a great selection of other Holiday cards, perhaps you want a folding Holiday or Christmas card? We’ll shutterfly has it!  Shutterfly also offers wall calendars and invitations for graduation or birthday parites. I’ve personally made the wall calendars before and given them as gifts to grandparents. They were simple to make and a HUGE hit!

I’d highly recommend Shutterfly for all your holiday photos needs! If you’re interested in getting some Free Christmas cards go here!

Disclosure:  I will receive a promo code upon my review of Shutterfly’s selection of photo cards. I am honest in my reviews and will only publish my truthful thoughts of any product.

30 Day SHRED with Jillian Michaels

The past week and a half my facebook and the blogs I frequent have been fluttering with talk of  Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred. Last week I made the decision to join in the 30-Day challenge many fellow bloggers are joining in and I ordered my DVD from Amazon. I recently purchased P90X and began that program; great workouts…but unfortunately I was having a really difficulty time finding the 60+ minutes each day to devote to sweating my booty off! Talk has been positive of Jillian’s 30 day program and I am LOVING IT…but a bit sore after day 3!
